Golden Globes Sharpen Sunday pencils

I have made my top ten list and  I am checking it twice. I have not made any actual predictions though. Watch it with me and I might live blog it.

Nat and Kat Win Amazing Race

Amazing race reaches new heights tonight. With that Nat and Kat the two docs are in first place.

I can safely predict they will win. The last trick was to fill in a board with the hosts of the many countries. Now, the two women are headed home.  The three top teams are back on land and home in the USA.   Find themselves at the port of Long Beach and on one of the piers. Nat has acrophobia, she needs therapy for that, and they have to bungee jump from the top. They are in first place and now Nat has to fight her fear. One of them was veg for 22  years and had to eat meat on the trip. No biggie I was veg for 40 years and eat meat now.

Who will win? The first all girl team?

Jennifer Grey Walks Away with Mirror Ball

Raise Your Glass (Explicit Version) by Pink.

Jennifer at this time is literally a shoo in for first place. Since Bristol finally got elimated Jennifer should walk away with the ball. See previous post for rundown.

DWTS: Jennifer Gray Looking Good

Okay here’s the rundown: Bristol third, Kyle Second and Jennifer will take first.

The three of them danced to  Raise Your Glass (Explicit Version)as part of the "Instant dance" that each had only thirty minutes to prepare.

DWTS this season has been pretty popular after all. The scores from the judges left Jennifer and Mark in first place with Bristol in last place. When you reckon in the votes it should still leave Jennifer (her dad who’s more famous than Jennifer is in the audience too, he’s Jewish, not sure if her mom is though) in first place but I think it will leave Bristol taking second place.

Jennifer did the waltz while Kyle and Bristol did the tango. The tango is a hot dance and you can’t just do it, you have to dance it by touching your partner and moving your feet.  Bristol was okay.

The last part will be the instant dance or cha-cha in this case. They got their song and their place to perform.  Jennifer is wearing tasels on her pants and so is Bristol in red, like the GOP color? Hmmm.

Bristol did well in the area of most improved and she’s a true amateur so in that sense  she has earned her place. Jennifer has had to work through lots of pain and injuries and she’s a real fighter. Bristol had the growth, the groupies and finally the gain with the judges.

Kyle is a cutey and has been so entertaining to watch. He had to lift his big feet as he is a little on the heavy side. I don’t see him winning tonight though and may not get the second place he deserves. That’s my prediction so far.

More later

DWTS: Foul Ballroom Bristol over BrandY= WTF?

I have yet to watch my recorded DWTS from yesterday but glad I saved it. They got two perfect 10s and still got voted off. I knew that Bristol would go far due to votes but this is ridiculous.

Jon Stewart King of Comedy, and Larry Leibowitz (his brother) King of Wall Street

Do you know what it costs to even buy a seat on the NYSE? From Wikianswers we find the following.

NYSE membership prices range, depending on various factors, its all time high was valued at $2.70 Million in 1999, however has dropped since, there are 1,366 seats in the NYSE.

Larry would first have to have bought his way into the NYSE before he could run it as he does today as COO. He got the money from somewhere, millions it cost just to break into the biggest scam, ponzi scheme, money laundering outfit on earth the NYSE.

Stewart was born in New York City to a Jewish family. He and his older brother, Larry Leibowitz (who is presently Chief Operating Officer of the New York Stock Exchange),[12][13] grew up in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, where they attende    d Lawrence High School.[6] His mother, Marian, is an educational consultant and teacher, and his father, Donald Leibowitz, is a physics professor at The College of New Jersey. The couple divorced when Stewart was 11-years-old and Stewart no longer has any contact with his father.[6] Stewart was a member of the school band as a horn player.[citation needed] Stewart has said that he was subjected to anti-Semitic bullying.[7] He describes himself in high school as “very into Eugene Debs and a bit of a leftist.”[14]

The above is from wikipedia. Oh, they are sooooo opressed and the great minority. His brother who retained his name Leibowitz is COO of The NYSE! No less.  We know Rick was right and he had the right to say it.

But the sad truth makes it imperative that he be fired. There is no free speech in this country when it comes to the code of cable and radio: Shhhhh!

But can they Jews criticize WASP control and their majority status? Yes, hell yes. Here is his take on how FOX is the meanest sorority, code for mean white men!

For years, Stewart has regularly accused Fox News of distorting the news to fit a conservative agenda, at one point ridiculing the network as “the meanest sorority in the world.”[47] In November 2009, Stewart called out Fox News for using some footage from a previous Tea Party rally during its report of a more recent one, making the later rally appear larger than it was. The show’s anchor, Sean Hannity, apologized the following night.[48] A month later, Stewart criticized Fox & Friends cohost Gretchen Carlson, a former Miss America and Stanford graduate, for claiming that she googled words such as “ignoramus” and “czar.” Stewart believed that Carlson was dumbing herself down for “an audience who sees intellect as an elitist flaw.”[49]

Stewart stepped up his criticism of Fox News in 2010; as of April 24, The Daily Show had 24 segments criticizing Fox News′ coverage.[32] Bill O’Reilly, host of The O’Reilly Factor, countered that The Daily Show was a “key component of left-wing television” and that Stewart was a fan of Fox News because the network was so interesting to watch.[32]

Sarah Palin in DWTS audience

Just spotted Sarah in the front row to watch Bristol dance. No boyfriend Johnson but mom is there. David Hasselhoff was voted off next week. And Bristol gets to dance again.

Michael Bolton just danced the jive it was horrible. He will probably be voted off next week.

Thus far the Situation is up. He did a better job this week. Before that Sarah was asked what she thought of the show. They put her on the spot. She used the referree metaphor and said you don’t wanna say anything bad about the ref before a game and they were amazing.

I think Bristol is like last in line she did quickstep. She’s wearing some long lavender gloves and a gown. She said she was gonna keep it modest and so far she has. DWTS women have wore some truly over the top outfits with only the main events covered up. Man I feel like I am imitating another blogger when I use my idioms that are now in everybody’s mouth. And will either dance the jive or the quick step.

Okay, let the dancing begin (that one is getting overused too. I said originally “let the stealing begin” damn didn’t think they would steal that too! LOL.)

Anyway Bristol took her dancing partner home to meet Sarah. She gave him a big hug and said she was so proud of Bristol. How cute.

The Amazing Race Off to a good start–premiere tonight

I have not always watched every season but there is a reason to watch this time. Looks like some good teams with a cool mix of folks.

I warned black people not to compete on reality shows. We just don’t fare well for some reason.  Last night I watched the premiere of The Last Race. It was good. The black gay guy brought his best friend along (also gay?) and he sat in the back seat and navigated. He was overweight, but in good enough shape for the race and but he brought a compass and they bought a map in London.

Good start. They got to Logan in Boston, been there twice, and took the first flight. So these guys got the head start. The problem came about when they, with a map, had to find Stonehenge and then the castle. They could not find either one. They must have driven around for hours! No avail, they were in last place almost from the getgo. That makes no sense. They could have at least placed 9th. They were able to do the challenges but hell if you can’t navigate in a foreign country stay out of the  car. I’ve been to the south of England near Stonehenge and the roads do just wind all over the place.

Well the African American guys blew a chance to go to mother Africa/Ghana is where they are going next. Stupid. Embarrassing for a college grad not to have any spatial sense of direction.

Season Premiere Dancing with the Stars

Holy Stars! It starts tonight. A great lineup I think. I might even blog a few. That Rick Fox is still hot. I actually thought they were kidding when they said Bristol Palin was dancing. She plans to wear modest clothes.

O’Donnell to Maher “I dabbled in witchcraft”

Youtube

The above-link is a short video in which the candidate in her youth candidly talks about dating someone into witchcraft. She claims she did not know about it, but then admits that she “dabbled in witchcraft.”

This morning Christine O’Donnell cancels 2 talk shows after airing of vintage clip where she admits to not knowing what witchcraft was, and that she “dabbled in witchcraft.” I say so what, so did I.

Karl Rove said that she should not have booked these talk shows in the first place. He said he did not predict she would not win but questions her background vs that of her opponent.

I know that your past can kick you in the butt. She said this in the days before the Internet but the video is real and the damage to her run may not be real. It’s deja vu re bad publicity. It may help her in the end.
