Sarah likes Allen West as VP choice and so do I
Here is a picture of Allen West and family. His wife is an MD and they have two beautiful daughters just like Obama. His wife is also professional a doctor and Michelle is a lawyer.
West is the first black elected to congress since 1876! He beat an incumbent for the office. He is 51 years old and has 20 years of military experience. Sarah thinks that West would be a going rouge choice. I think he has made some strange quips in the past but hasn’t everybody? I wanted to look him up to make sure he was not married to a white woman. That would be a deal breaker for me. Not because I have anything against them, some of my best friends are white women, but for what it says about black men taking the easy way out.

Former Gov. Sarah Palin graces The Today Show Tuesday
Katie Couric ignored Palin and her debut in Katie’s old seat. She now hosts GMA. Sarah seemed fired up. I taped her debut but have not watched it yet. Had to leave early this am and I have a hot yoga class tonight. Gotta keep the yoga booty going LOL.
And in case you were unaware a person keeps the title for life once elected to any office or if they have earned a degree such as MD they are always referred to as Doctor even if retired. BTW only MDs are doctors the PhDs are “doctors of philosophy” but not doctors. They hold a doctorate–

MD means medical doctor no other degree says that.

And within the first few minutes of NBC’s popular morning program, it was clear that Palin had a strategy for handling the show that was once hosted by Couric – plenty of self-deprecating humor. By contrast, Couric’s approach was to completely ignore Palin; she made no reference to the 2008 race or her blockbuster interview with the then-vice presidential candidate that many credited with dooming the GOP ticket.
The first glimpse viewers of the “Today” show got of Palin was her head buried behind an open newspaper.
“Oh, man, she’s doing her homework!” co-host Matt Lauer said.

Game Change: The Sarah Palin movie
I still have HBO because I wanted to see Game Change. I thought it was damn good. Yes Moore nails Palin to the political wall. Julianne Moore will probably win a bunch of awards for her portrayal of Sarah Palin. I thought it was pitch perfect.
Were there ugly things about Palin that surfaced you betcha. I was going to read the book Game Change but I found it a bit boring. The movie was not boring and it wass not over the top critical of Palin either.
She looked beautiful, defiant and a pure rouge. I loved the movie and watched and recorded it. The critics wonder why the whole film focussed on Palin that is a good question. They should have called it The Palin Plan.
However, it was well done. You usually have to duck when two Jewish men go after your life story and worry will it be about revisionism. I think the movie was better than the book at least about Sarah.
The funniest part was Sarah watching clips of SNL with Tina Fey on an airplane and everybody laughing at it. They showed three clips of SNL parroting her.

Who won GOP debate: Newt does it—again
No one was able to knock Newt off his rhetorical perch. He sits there firmly and did what he had to do. He parrys and he punches back when he was confronted with the 1.6 million dollars he has earned from Fannie Mae and Freddie. He made the right point that Dodd and Frank were sitting in the House, as elected officials when they cleaned the housing clock and set the meltdown timer on its ultimate date with a 2008 destiny.
I think Ron Paul came in as a close second with his answers. Everyone was careful but not safe playing. The answers to questions that ranged from foreign policy to illegal alien verification were well-thought, and no major stumbles like the 10K bet.
At one point Paul even invoked what JFK did with Cuba and Paul said he was in the service at that time and he praised Kennedy’s actions because he avoided war with Russia and Cuba.
But really even Santorum and Perry did themselves a lot of good before the Iowa voting in January. What about Romney who leads hot on the heels of Newt? He was steady eddy and also provided a good debate.
Bachman she just does not do anything for me. She was not bad and I don’t pan her performance but as a congress person she is just out of her league. I don’t think she’s a Sarah Palin. I think Palin in many ways is stronger and more magnetic. Anyway, has a person from congress ever won the presidency? I don’t think so.
Anyway Newt won the night–again.

Romney and Christie that’s the ticket (updated)
My take it will be Mitt Romney because he has been running for years now. The GOP always gives the stinker the next shot. Then there is that yuk factor like the one they overlooked with that uber lib by the name of John McCain. Who paired up with a T party gal named Sarah Palin. That was the ticket that could not win.
I predicted Romney nod anyway a long time ago. Yes, they might reconsider Perry if he does not further implode. But the illegal issue is going to dog the rich Romneys and the less rich Perrys and the less right GOP as it runs its 2012 race pushing Christie into the VP slot, or rather squeezing him. He’s conservative enough and has mafia connections too.
Update: Chris Christie today endorsed Mitt Romney for prez. He really is a smart, fluffy, guy. That’s the way to do it come out early, predict, lead with your endorsement. I tried to get a bunch of folks to come out early for Obama. I pleaded with my old brother Ted to endorse and also Al Gore. Ted did get off the Chris Todd sinking ship and he and Caroline endorsed Obama early on.
Smart move from a smart, but fat, man.
